What Are ERGs?
ERGs, or Employee Resource Groups, are employee-led groups that create connection, community, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Think of ERGs as spaces where people with shared interests or goals come together to learn, mentor, serve, and grow together.
In simple terms:
ERGs are for you, by you, and about you. They make work feel more connected, meaningful, and human.
ERGs benefit everyone!
For employees, they provide a safe space to share ideas, develop new skills, and connect with others who share similar interests or goals. They offer opportunities for mentorship, leadership growth, and a stronger sense of belonging at work. For the organization, ERGs help boost engagement, build leadership pipelines, and create a more inclusive culture where people feel valued, heard, and inspired to contribute. When employees feel connected, the entire organization grows stronger together.
Introducing the LEAF Framework
LEAF stands for Lead, Empower, Advocate, and Foster. It’s the foundation for how we organize, grow, and sustain ERGs within our company.
Each pillar represents a different way employees can engage and develop.
The Four Pillars of LEAF
Lead: Learning-based groups that inspire growth and leadership.
Empower: Mentorship and connection programs that build confidence.
Advocate: Community service and outreach initiatives that give back.
Foster: Training and development opportunities that build teamwork and communication.
💡 Each pillar supports a different part of who we are as professionals, teammates, and community members.
Next Steps: Get Involved
Now that you know what ERGs are, how the LEAF Framework works, and how we’re implementing it within our company, it’s your turn to get involved!
Over the next few days, take some time to explore the different ERGs and think about which one aligns best with your interests and goals. Whether you’re passionate about learning, mentorship, community impact, or professional development, there’s a place for you in LEAF.
👉 Your Next Step:
Decide which ERG you’d like to join and sign up for.
Becoming part of an ERG is more than just joining a group, it’s about growing, connecting, and helping shape a stronger, more engaged workplace.
